Before we Begin the Bathtub Reglazing Process
· Entire area will be protected. All fixtures, mirrors, etc. will be covered and taped.
· We will use an High Power ventilation system to minimize odors
· We will remove bathtub drain over and overflow protector
· We remove All grout and caulk from around the Bathtub
Etching Process
Bathtub Refinishing involves the application of a thin, yet incredibly durable coating to an existing surface. A stabilized & safe etching solution is applied to porcelain or ceramic surfaces similar to the way frosting of glass takes place to maximize the primers ability to permanently bond to the original substrate. In the case of fiberglass, acrylic, or other substrates, the surface is thoroughly treated to maximize the adhesion.
Epoxy Primer
We use a special underwater epoxy adhesive primer that permanently adheres to the substrate using a molecular bonding action. The etch/primer steps are the key to extended service life.
Acrylic Urethane
Used for cosmetic value, our acrylic urethane topcoat provides high gloss, impact & scuff resistance and protection against acids and solvents providing the best choice for long term durability.
Our step-by-step refinishing process insures the most durable and long lasting finish on the market today.
After we complete the Bathtub Reglazing Process
· We re-install drain cover.
· We remove all tape and drop cloths not need
· We caulk area around the Bathtub
· We remove ventilation system
· We clean bathroom and vacuum floor
